CAWI is a personal interview technique via the Internet using an interview questionnaire filled in by a respondent. The respondent can choose convenient time to read the questions and provide the answers in the questionnaire. Respondents’ answers are saved in the database, and only authorized persons have access to it. Currently, CAWI is one of the most popular quantitative survey techniques and its applicability is still growing.
At ABR SESTA, CADAS software is used for CAWI surveys which allows both forwarding questionnaires by e-mail to a chosen target group of respondents (e.g. clients), as well as posting the survey on a selected website.
CADAS system enables the development of standard surveys as well as special questionnaires with multimedia content (films, graphics, sound recordings). CAWI provides the possibility to rotate the content of the interview; each respondent answers to all questions, but both the sequence of questions and responses may be changed.
ABR SESTA cooperates with several consumer panels offering respondents’ databases both in Poland and abroad. When commissioning survey projects, the target group is known and owing to the extensive respondents profiles survey projects can be addressed to the suitable target group. The quality of responses is monitored on an ongoing basis using the CADAS system.
